Learn How to Create and Launch Your Own PLR

Since its debut, ChatGPT has revolutionized the online landscape and marketers all over the planet have been voicing their opinions about it.

Some see it as a boon, while others see it as a bane... and most are unsure of where it will all eventually lead. Whatever the outcome may be, one thing is certain – AI tools are here to stay – and it’s in your best interest to leverage them in your business.

One group of marketers who have a lot to gain (and maybe a lot to lose?) are private label rights (PLR) content vendors.

With ChatGPT able to spit out a full-blown article in minutes, does one even need PLR content/vendors anymore?

A valid question... and the answer is a resounding YES!

Here’s why PLR content will ALWAYS be in demand!

For starters, most content generated by ChatGPT is generic (and sounds almost robotic) in nature. Let’s not forget, since it works with ‘pre-fed’ data sets, the output will usually be repetitive too.

If 20 people asked it to generate an article on email marketing tips, you can bet your last dollar that a lot of the articles will sound the same and have the similar talking points. ChatGPT is incapable of wit, humor, opinions, and other nuances that only a human writer can inject into their writing.

This is why it’s called a ‘text generator’ and not a writer. So the answer is yes – there is still a need for high-quality PLR content. While some marketers may feel like ChatGPT is the solution to all their content needs, the discerning marketer will know that ‘human-written’ content (mixed with a dose of AI content) will ultimately be the better option in the long-run.

If you’re a PLR vendor, cast your fears aside.

Writing is an art, and if you have the flair for it, ChatGPT won’t be able to match the finesse of your skills – and it won’t stand a chance against you.

Should Marketers Sell ChatGPT Content as PLR?

This is a tricky question to answer.

We mentioned how ChatGPT’s content can be repetitive and monotonous. So why would you sell it as PLR?

The purists will turn their noses up at the idea of selling ChatGPT-generated content as PLR.

After all, if customers could get the same content themselves by using ChatGPT, why would they pay for it?

This is a valid question... BUT... it doesn’t consider human nature.

Even with ChatGPT available for everyone to use (for free), some people would rather pay for ‘pre-generated content.’

They may not wish to use ChatGPT themselves or learn how to create prompts, etc. There is a market for ChatGPT content!

The most important point to note here: Transparency is key.

If you’re selling ChatGPT-generated content as PLR, you’d do well to mention this in your sales copy. Your customers must be aware of what they’re purchasing.

If you’re selling ChatGPT content as your own PLR, it’s highly recommended that you:

  1. Inject your ‘voice’ into the content and humanize it
  2. Fact check all of ChatGPT’s content
  3. Let your potential buyers know that you used AI to create the content

Following the 3 pointers above and pricing your PLR sensibly will mean that you can still sell ChatGPT-generated content profitably while catering to a market that’s looking for such content.

If you’d rather write all your PLR content yourself, that’s fine too. This is not an issue to split hairs over. What truly matters is that the PLR you sell is of stellar quality and most importantly, your customers are satisfied with their purchases.

Raging over the ethical implications of selling AI-generated content as PLR is pointless, because it is legal and ethical (currently). You can’t fight change.

The key to your success online will be to harness the prevailing winds and adjust your sails accordingly… as you navigate and cruise to success.

Now that we’ve established a stand on this issue, let’s see how we can use ChatGPT to 10X our content creation and put our PLR business on steroids!
